Based on 11 August 2026 closing prices, Indian equity markets experienced a marginal pullback on Tuesday. The Nifty 50 closed at 24471.70, down −0.46%, or 112 points. Similarly, the Nifty Bank also registered a decline, settling at 57446.25 with a −0.42% drop. The NIFTY Midcap 100 saw a minor dip of −0.02%, closing at 63843.85.

Market Movers
Among the top movers, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (DRREDDY) emerged as the leading gainer, surging +3.99% to close at ₹1205. Eternal Ltd. (ETERNAL) followed with a +2.50% gain, reaching ₹318. Other notable gainers included Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (TCS) at ₹2445.7, up +0.82%, Titan Company Ltd. (TITAN) at ₹5128, up +0.75%, and Infosys Ltd. (INFY) at ₹1190.7, gaining +0.65%.
On the losing side, Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (TATACONSUM) led the declines, falling −2.77% to ₹1078. Max Healthcare Institute Ltd. (MAXHEALTH) also saw a significant drop of −2.71%, closing at ₹1040. Nestle India Ltd. (NESTLEIND) was down −2.32% at ₹1493.2, while Ultratech Cement Ltd. (ULTRACEMCO) decreased by −2.14% to ₹11780. Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (APOLLOHOSP) completed the list of top losers, declining −1.81% to ₹8750.5.
FII and DII Activity
Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net buyers on Tuesday, 11 August 2026, injecting ₹258.55 crore. This follows two consecutive buy sessions, with inflows of ₹1974.76 crore on 10 August and ₹480.24 crore on 7 August. Earlier in the period, FIIs were net sellers on 6 August (₹17.86 crore outflow) and 5 August (₹943.42 crore outflow).
Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) recorded a modest net inflow of ₹24.77 crore on 11 August. Over the preceding sessions, DIIs were significant buyers on 6 August (₹4013.6 crore) and 5 August (₹2883.17 crore), and also saw an inflow of ₹235.56 crore on 7 August. However, DIIs registered a net outflow of ₹1290.29 crore on 10 August.
