The Nifty 50 opens Friday’s session with a significant gap-up, trading at 24123.65 points, marking an advance of +161 points or +0.67% from its previous close of 23962.80. The benchmark index shows early strength as the first trades print, extending gains from the prior session.

Market breadth in the Nifty 50 is yet to establish a clear trend in the initial minutes of trading, with both advances and declines currently at 0. However, individual stock movements indicate early sector-specific momentum.

Among the top performers, IT majors lead the charge. Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (TCS) is up +0.46% at ₹2059, followed by Infosys Ltd. (INFY) gaining +0.43% to ₹1055.3, and Tech Mahindra Ltd. (TECHM) advancing +0.42% to ₹1432.3. Ultratech Cement Ltd. (+0.34%) and Axis Bank Ltd. (+0.33%) also feature among the early gainers.

Conversely, some stocks are seeing early pressure. Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (TATACONSUM) is down −0.24% at ₹1104, while Eicher Motors Ltd. (EICHERMOT) trades −0.21% lower at ₹7345.5. Hindalco Industries Ltd. (−0.19%), Adani Enterprises Ltd. (−0.19%), and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (−0.18%) are also among the early decliners.

In the FII and DII activity from the past two sessions, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) provided significant support on July 9th, with net inflows of +₹2057.79 crore, largely offsetting Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) net selling of −₹532.86 crore. On July 8th, FIIs were net buyers with +₹1962.8 crore, alongside DII inflows of +₹790.16 crore.

Investors will be watching for sustained momentum in the IT sector and how broader market breadth evolves over the next 30 minutes.
