The Nifty 50 opens Thursday’s session with a +57 point gap up, trading at 24135.75 points in the early minutes of trade. This positive start follows its previous close of 24078.50, marking an immediate +0.24% gain as the first trades print across the exchange.

Early market activity shows a clear distinction among Nifty 50 constituents. Eternal Ltd. leads the pack of gainers, surging +3.02% to trade at ₹294.8. Other significant advancers include Ultratech Cement Ltd., which is up +2.75% at ₹11812, and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd., gaining +2.44% to ₹568.75. Shriram Finance Ltd. also sees early buying interest, rising +1.96% to ₹1033.8, alongside Eicher Motors Ltd., which trades +1.72% higher at ₹7404.5.

On the downside, Power Grid Corporation Of India Ltd. is among the top losers, registering a -1.90% decline to ₹280.7. Hindalco Industries Ltd. also faces early pressure, down -1.90% at ₹955.8. Other stocks experiencing a dip include Larsen & Toubro Ltd., trading -1.68% lower at ₹3783.9, JSW Steel Ltd., down -1.67% to ₹1226.9, and Tata Steel Ltd., which has fallen -1.60% to ₹185.26.

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) have extended their selling streak for a second consecutive session. On July 15, FIIs recorded a net outflow of ₹735.83 crore, following a ₹739.69 crore outflow on July 14. In contrast, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) continue to provide robust support, acting as net buyers. DIIs injected ₹704.93 crore on July 15 and a significant ₹2927.71 crore on July 14, cushioning the market against FII withdrawals.

Investors will be closely monitoring the sustainability of these early gains and whether broader market participation picks up over the next 30 minutes of trade.
