Indian markets closed mixed on Thursday, with the Nifty 50 down 0.16% to 24,395.85, while the Sensex gained marginally. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers, though Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) provided strong buying support. Global cues remained mixed amid geopolitical tensions.

Indian equity benchmarks ended a mixed session on Thursday, with the Nifty 50 registering a slight dip while the Sensex managed a marginal gain. Investors remained cautious amidst persistent geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and elevated crude oil prices. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) continued their selling streak, however, strong buying support from Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) helped limit broader market losses. Softer-than-expected US inflation data also provided some relief, easing concerns over potential Federal Reserve rate hikes.
