About the Company

Our Company is an integrated shrimp aquaculture supply-chain business based in Olpad, District Surat, Gujarat, operating 4 branches located at Surat, Olpad, Navsari and Valsad. Our business consists of supplying farming inputs, including seed, feed, medicines, chemicals, aerators and allied equipment, to shrimp farmers predominantly on credit, buying back their harvested shrimp at the time of harvest, and selling it through fresh, frozen and export channels depending on the grade and quality of each consignment. A farmer in our network accordingly occupies a dual position, being our customer when purchasing inputs from us and our supplier when selling us his harvest. We source from various farmers across South Gujarat, and our operations span the shrimp value chain, from the supply of farming inputs and technical guidance during cultivation, through collection of the harvested shrimp and its transportation under cold chain to the point of acceptance for grading, to its sale in fresh form or, where required, its conversion into frozen product through a contract processing arrangement with a third-party processor. We have established a procurement network through long-term partnerships with Shrimp farmers, aquaculture producers and farming communities across major shrimp producing regions of Gujarat. However, we have not entered into any long-term procurement arrangement with any of such farmers. Our integrated sourcing model enables us to maintain control over quality, traceability and supply consistency from the very beginning of value chain. A defining feature of our business is product perishability as harvested shrimp, which requires the product to be brought under appropriate cold-chain preservation and processing within approximately 48 hours of harvesting/loading in order to preserve its quality and commercial value. Accordingly, our operations are structured around rapid procurement, efficient logistics, cold-chain management, quality control and real-time assessment and routing of each lot to the appropriate processing and sales channel. This integrated and time-sensitive operating model is designed to minimize quality deterioration, optimize the value realized from each lot and ensure that harvested shrimp is processed and channeled to the appropriate market within the critical preservation window.
