Foreign institutional investors stood as net sellers in both equity and debt segments as per Wednesday data released by the National Securities Depository Limited.

Segment-Wise Flow Breakdown

Market participants recorded specific activity across major financial segments during the trading session.

Key figures released by the National Securities Depository Limited show:

Equity gross buying reached Rs 11,139.92 crore against gross selling of Rs 13,733.37 crore.

Equity net selling totaled Rs 2,593.45 crore.

Debt gross purchase registered Rs 939.82 crore with gross sales of Rs 1,178.51 crore.

Debt net selling stood at Rs 238.69 crore.

Sub-Segment Debt and Hybrid Activity

Foreign institutional investors showed varied positions across specialized debt categories and hybrid instruments.

Net buying in the Debt-FAR segment reached Rs 222.98 crore.

Net selling in the Debt-General Limit segment hit Rs 277.14 crore.

Net selling in the Debt-VRR segment stood at Rs 184.53 crore.

Hybrid segment gross buying registered Rs 26.61 crore against gross selling of Rs 27.14 crore, resulting in net selling of Rs 0.53 crore.
