US-India MH-60R Seahawk Deliveries Boost Maritime Strategy

The arrival of another MH-60R Seahawk helicopter for the Indian Navy marks a critical juncture in India’s ongoing naval modernization, reinforcing the deepening defense partnership with the United States. In November 2025, India and the United States solidified Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOAs) for comprehensive sustainment support. This agreement, valued at approximately Rs 7,995 crore, covers logistics, maintenance, and equipment supply for a five-year period, ensuring the operational readiness and longevity of the MH-60R fleet. This commitment underscores a shared understanding of the need for continuous capability and interoperability.
