NudgeBee Raises $3M for AI Cloud Automation

NudgeBee Secures $3 Million to Advance AI-Driven Cloud Automation
Key Highlights
NudgeBee secures $3M in seed funding led by Kalaari Capital to advance its AI-driven cloud automation platform for enterprise cloud operations.
NudgeBee, an enterprise tech startup based in Pune, has successfully raised $3 million (₹27.9 Cr) in its seed funding round, led by Kalaari Capital. The company is focused on automating cloud operations through AI agents.
The startup intends to allocate the newly acquired funds to bolster its AI research and product development efforts, aiming to decrease its reliance on costly third-party AI models. Additionally, NudgeBee plans to invest in its go-to-market strategy, encompassing direct enterprise sales and strategic partnerships.
NudgeBee is also developing a channel-led distribution model, recognizing that enterprise deployments often necessitate custom integration and last-mile setup.
Founded in 2024 by Rakesh Rajendran and Shiv Pratap Singh, NudgeBee specializes in creating agentic AI solutions tailored for enterprise cloud operations, assisting teams in managing intricate cloud configurations.
The concept for NudgeBee emerged from the founders’ prior experiences in constructing data platforms for major global corporations. Rakesh Rajendran, formerly the India head of Saama Technologies, a clinical analysis company, noted that the management of AI applications post-deployment remained a significant challenge for businesses.
NudgeBee aims to address critical issues such as system failures, slow application performance, escalating cloud expenses, and infrastructure upgrades.
The startup’s platform functions as an overlay on a company’s cloud or on-premise systems, mapping applications, infrastructure, dependencies, and existing tools to establish a unified view. Based on this comprehensive mapping, the platform deploys AI agents capable of identifying and resolving issues.
NudgeBee offers pre-built agents designed for site reliability, cloud cost optimization, and Kubernetes operations. Furthermore, it enables companies to develop their own automation workflows utilizing AI agent-based systems, eliminating the need to manage the underlying AI models.
Rajendran emphasized that this approach enables enterprises to transition from fragmented tools and scripts to a unified platform. Rather than merely flagging alerts, the system can initiate actions within existing workflows.
NudgeBee is already collaborating with enterprise clients, including Rackspace, and is targeting mid-market companies in the US, while also experiencing demand from global capability centers (GCCs) in India. These GCCs frequently manage cloud operations and engineering tasks for multinational corporations.
This funding arrives at a time when enterprises are increasingly integrating AI-driven tools across various workflows, from model training and evaluation to the automation of core operations, leading to heightened investor interest in the AI SaaS sector.
