CRED upgrades Kuvera wealth management platform, targeting affluent Indian investors with enhanced tools for better investment decisions and returns.
Payment fintech unicorn CRED has upgraded its mutual platform, Kuvera, targeting affluent Indians to facilitate more prudent investment decisions through improved discipline, asset allocation, and performance.
According to a statement from CRED, this upgrade provides tools to invest and aims to create a significant positive impact over the long term by enhancing decision-making capabilities regarding investment strategies.
CRED acquired Kuvera in February 2024 as part of its expansion into the wealth management sector.
Kunal Shah, Founder of CRED, stated that Kuvera has been upgraded for investors with substantial stakes, where a single decision can significantly impact years of compounding. He added that Kuvera by CRED is now a behavioral system designed to enable the wealthy to do less, but more effectively, emphasizing judgment over mere activity.
The upgraded Kuvera will focus on three main principles: discipline, asset allocation, and performance. It will display investors’ behavioral patterns, including consistency and time in the market, to foster positive investment habits. It will also uncover concentration across asset classes and sectors, identifying overlaps and unintended risk exposure relative to investors’ risk profiles. Lastly, it will measure returns against custom benchmarks to assess whether outcomes align with the risk taken.
CRED reports that the average monthly on Kuvera is twice the industry average, with its investors holding the highest average portfolio value among digital platforms.
The upgraded Kuvera also offers wealthy investors the option to generate higher returns from idle cash buffers through partnerships with mutual fund companies such as DSP, ICICI Prudential, Aditya Birla Sun Life, and HDFC Asset Management, allowing them to invest in liquid funds. This feature also provides the flexibility to withdraw cash at any time.
