Aquapulse secures ₹25 Cr in Series A funding led by NABVENTURES to expand its aquaculture network, enhance technology, and support 15,000 farmers.
Aquaculture-focused agritech startup Aquapulse has secured ₹25 Cr (approximately $2.7 Mn) in its ongoing Series A round, which was led by NABVENTURES through its AgriSURE Fund.
The startup plans to use the new capital to establish an in-house processing facility aimed at enhancing quality control and improving profit margins. Additionally, a portion of the funding will be allocated to expanding its network to include 15,000 farmers across Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal, while also strengthening its technological infrastructure.
Aquapulse is also investing in AI-driven harvest systems and improving its tech-enabled transparent pricing model.
Founded in 2022 by Abhishek and Abhilash Dwivedy, Aquapulse aims to assist shrimp and fish farmers in managing their businesses more effectively through the use of technology.
The startup provides app-based monitoring to track water quality, forecast shrimp growth, and manage feed, enabling farmers to make well-timed decisions and increase productivity. It also helps reduce risks through improved disease management, thereby minimizing losses during and after harvest.
Its AI-based pre-harvest systems monitor parameters such as water quality, disease risks, and feed usage to ensure feed efficiency and output quality.
Aquapulse directly connects farmers with buyers, helping them obtain better prices and reduce their reliance on intermediaries. It also offers digital expert advisory services to promote more informed and modern farming practices.
On the post-harvest side, Aquapulse manages grading, cold storage, logistics, and compliance processes. The startup aims to develop India’s first integrated aquaculture ecosystem.
Aquapulse primarily competes with companies such as Eruvaka, Aquaconnect, and AquaExchange in the expanding Indian agritech sector.
India’s aquaculture sector is largely driven by fish and shrimp production, with shrimp remaining the country’s leading seafood export, accounting for nearly 70% of the total export value. The value of seafood exports increased from ₹43,720.98 Cr in FY21 to ₹62,408.45 Cr in FY25, marking a growth of over 40%.
