Pritika Group inks a 25-year solar power deal with Spark Grid, projecting significant savings of Rs 110 crore and enhancing its commitment to sustainability.

Pritika Engineering Components, a subsidiary of Pritika Auto Industries representing the broader Pritika Group of Industries, has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Spark Grid. This agreement secures a 25-year supply of solar power at a competitive rate, marking a significant strategic move for the industrial conglomerate.

Projected Financial Gains

This long-term solar power arrangement is set to deliver substantial cost efficiencies for the Pritika Group. The initiative is estimated to generate savings of approximately Rs 110 crore over its 25-year tenure.

  • Pritika Engineering Components and Meeta Castings are specifically projected to benefit from savings of around Rs 70 crore.
  • The remaining balance of the total savings will accrue to other entities within the Pritika Group for the same period.

Strategic Operational Shift

As part of the proposed structure, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) will be established to manage the solar power project. Pritika Engineering Components anticipates holding a 26% equity stake in this SPV on behalf of the Group, pending necessary approvals and documentation.

  • Improve operational efficiency across the Group.
  • Reduce long-term energy costs through a predictable supply.
  • Increase the contribution of renewable energy to its overall power requirements.
  • Enhance visibility on future energy costs.
  • Support the Group’s overarching sustainability objectives.

Corporate Footprint

Pritika Auto Industries, the flagship entity of the Pritika Group, specializes in manufacturing a diverse range of tractor and automobile components. Its product portfolio includes axle housings, wheel housings, hydraulic lift housings, and crank cases, alongside various engineering and allied services for its clientele.

The solar power agreement underscores a clear strategic imperative for the Pritika Group, aligning significant cost benefits with a demonstrable commitment to renewable energy integration and long-term operational stability.
