Mahindra expands its Battery-as-a-Service model across all eSUVs, significantly lowering upfront costs and making electric vehicles more accessible for Indian buyers.

Thinking about an electric SUV but worried about the upfront cost? Mahindra Group just made it easier to drive one home with its expanded Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model.

This innovative model, which lets you finance the vehicle and its battery separately, now covers their entire eSUV portfolio. That means popular models like the XEV 9S, XEV 9e, and the BE 6 SPORTEQ are all included, making electric vehicle ownership more accessible.

The ‘dual-financing’ structure is a game-changer for your wallet. It significantly lowers the initial purchase cost and gives you much more flexibility in managing those monthly payments, which is always a win for shoppers.

Flexible Ownership, Clear Savings

Here’s how the BaaS program translates into real numbers for Mahindra’s eSUVs:

  • BE 6 SPORTEQ: Starts at Rs 11.45 Lakh with battery financing at an effective usage cost of Rs 3.75/km.
  • XEV 9S: Now starts at Rs 12.65 lakh, with battery financing also at Rs 3.75/km.
  • XEV 9e: Available from Rs 13.90 lakh, also featuring battery financing at Rs 3.75/km.

Mahindra initially rolled out BaaS with the performance-focused BE 6 SPORTEQ and reported an ‘overwhelming response’ from customers. This strong feedback confirms that there’s a real demand for solutions that ease the transition to electric vehicles.

This expansion is part of Mahindra’s mission to simplify EV adoption by reducing entry barriers and giving customers more choice. It’s all about smarter, more flexible ownership options that make sustainable driving a closer reality for many.
