Lumax Auto Technologies has secured approval to establish a new manufacturing plant for its Intelligent Ambient Comfort (IAC) division in Chakan, Maharashtra, following a Board of Directors meeting on August 10, 2026.

This strategic expansion, backed by a significant capital investment, is specifically designed to fulfill new orders received from Mahindra & Mahindra.

Key Financials for the Expansion

  • The project entails a capital outlay of approximately Rs 156.23 crore.
  • Funding for this investment will be sourced entirely through internal accruals.
  • Upon full commissioning, the plant is projected to achieve a peak annualized turnover of around Rs 440 crore.

The commissioning of this new facility is planned across two distinct phases, aligning with future production demands and market opportunities.

Phased Commissioning Schedule

  • The first phase is anticipated to be operational by Q4FY2027.
  • The second phase is slated for completion and commissioning by Q1FY2028.

This move underscores Lumax Auto Technologies’ commitment to expanding its capacity and strengthening its position in the automotive components sector. The company already produces a diverse range of products, including drive transmission, steering components, body and chassis parts, and electrical components.
