Haryana secures ₹66,000 crore in MoUs at ‘Happening Haryana 2.0’ in Mumbai, signaling a major boost for state economic growth and industrial development.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth ₹66,000 crore during the ‘Happening Haryana 2.0’ international outreach campaign held in Mumbai.

This substantial investment is poised to significantly boost the state’s economic growth and industrial development, building on previous successes.

Haryana’s Investment Landscape

The state government has previously secured significant pledges for industrial development.

MoUs worth ₹1.10 lakh crore were signed at an Industry Policy launch held in Gurugram.

Out of 123 companies from that earlier initiative, 108 have already been provided with land for their projects.

Chief Minister Saini emphasized that Haryana offers investors more than just land and incentives, focusing on strategic partnerships.

The commitment includes facilitating project movement over bureaucratic file movement and establishing an industry-worker friendship council to resolve disputes effectively.

Economic Contribution and Key Sectors

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is rapidly strengthening its global economic position, with Haryana emerging as a crucial growth engine.

Despite accounting for only about 1.3 percent of India’s geographical area, Haryana contributes approximately 3.6 percent to the national economy.

The state has become a prominent hub across diverse industrial segments.

These key sectors include automobiles, agro-industries, engineering, electronics, logistics, IT services, and corporate activities.

Future Growth and Vision 2047

Looking ahead, Haryana plans to develop new growth nodes by integrating district-specific clusters with land, skills, and connectivity.

North Haryana will strategically focus on food processing, pharmaceuticals, and logistics development.

Central Haryana is earmarked for engineering, textiles, and automobiles industries.

South Haryana will concentrate on IT, electronics, and advanced manufacturing capabilities.

Western Haryana aims to foster agro-industry and renewable energy initiatives.

In line with the ‘Haryana Vision Document-2047’, the state aims to achieve an economy exceeding USD 1 trillion.

Other key objectives include increasing per capita income, strengthening youth employability, and enhancing women’s economic participation, ensuring every district is an active partner in this development process.
