Auto components manufacturer Dhoot Transmission secured Rs 918.3 crore from anchor investors. This significant capital infusion precedes its Rs 3,067-crore Initial Public Offering (IPO).

Anchor Investor Participation

The company allotted over 1.05 crore equity shares to 72 funds. Each share was priced at Rs 871.

Prominent global and domestic entities participated, including BlackRock, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, and several SBI Mutual Funds.

Domestic mutual funds collectively took up 61.27 percent of this anchor allocation. This involved eight fund houses investing through 46 different schemes.

Diverse Investor Pool

The anchor book attracted a wide array of institutional investors. These included ICICI Prudential MF, HDFC MF, WhiteOak, Axis MF, and Mirae Asset.

Further participation came from the Government Pension Fund, Amundi Funds, and Allianz Global Investors. Life insurance companies such as SBI Life Insurance and HDFC Life Insurance also invested.

IPO Structure and Dates

The IPO is slated to be open for public subscription from August 10 to August 12. The price band for the offering is set between Rs 829 and Rs 871 per share.

The offering comprises two main parts. There is a fresh issue of equity shares amounting to Rs 1,400 crore.

Additionally, an offer for sale includes up to 1.91 crore equity shares. This component involves promoters BC Asia Investments XV Limited, an entity of Bain Capital, and Mangalam Capital Private Limited.
