Ather Konarc: New Mass-Market E-Scooter Launched at ₹99,999

Ather Energy has rolled out the Konarc, a brand-new electric scooter hitting the mass market, and it’s priced starting at just ₹99,999. This move means Ather is no longer just for premium riders, aiming to put an e-scooter within reach for more people.

The New Ride for Everyone

Unveiled at the company’s annual Community Day on August 29, 2026, the Konarc is built on Ather’s flexible new EL platform. This engineering foundation is designed to support a range of future products, making manufacturing more efficient for the brand.

For shoppers, the Konarc promises diverse options in battery and range configurations, with some variants hitting the road soon.

A 100-km range variant is priced at ₹99,999.

A 125-km version will cost ₹1,21,999.

Both the 100-km and 125-km models are set to go on sale in September 2026.

A 161-km range model is planned for approximately ₹1,44,999 in the longer term.

The Konarc Z, with 125-km and 161-km range options, is anticipated in the second quarter of 2027.

Competing on the Road

This new scooter sports a more conventional design, a deliberate choice to appeal to a broader audience. It positions Ather directly against big names like TVS Motor Company and Bajaj Auto in the competitive electric two-wheeler space.

While the Konarc’s entry price is competitive with models like the TVS iQube, its higher-range variants show an interesting overlap. For example, the 125-km Konarc at ₹1,21,999 is very close to Ather’s own Rizta S, which starts at ₹1,21,499.

This pricing strategy suggests Ather is keen on offering shoppers a wider choice of designs and performance levels at similar price points. Looking ahead, a 200-km range variant is also in the pipeline for the third quarter of 2027, promising even more options for those eyeing an electric ride.
