NEET Leak: Govt Ready for Lok Sabha Debate, Opposition Demands Resignation

On Wednesday, the Indian government expressed its willingness to engage in a discussion concerning the NEET paper leak controversy within the Lok Sabha. This announcement came from Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, signaling a potential parliamentary debate on the contentious issue.

Minister Rijiju appealed directly to Speaker Om Birla, urging him to facilitate a meeting with floor leaders from all political parties. The primary objective of this proposed meeting is to establish the precise procedural rule under which the discussion would be conducted.

Furthermore, the meeting aims to determine the scheduled date and the overall duration allotted for the debate. This step is crucial for structuring an orderly parliamentary engagement on a matter of significant public interest.

Amidst these developments, the Opposition has intensified its demands. Congress leader K.C. Venugopal highlighted the additional call for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, holding him accountable for the controversy.
