Kabeer Biswas’ Startup ‘M’ Secures $11 Million in Seed Funding

Key Highlights

Kabeer Biswas, former cofounder of Dunzo, has raised $11 million for his new venture, ‘M,’ in a seed funding round led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Blume Ventures and CRED.

Kabeer Biswas, the former cofounder of Dunzo, is launching a new startup called M, which has secured ₹102 Cr (approximately $11 million) in seed funding from Peak XV Partners, Blume Ventures, and fintech unicorn CRED.

According to filings with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs accessed by Inc42, Peak XV Partners led the funding round with an investment of ₹46.4 Cr. Blume Ventures contributed ₹37.1 Cr, while CRED added the remaining ₹18.6 Cr.

The startup will issue approximately 55,000 Series Seed CCPS to these investors to secure the funds. To date, M has already raised ₹83.5 Cr of the total amount.

Post-allotment, Peak XV will hold a 15.5% stake in the company, while Blume Ventures and CRED will own 12.4% and 6.2%, respectively. Biswas and Kartik Mishra will each hold 3.1%, with a significant 38.67% held by the PVK Family Trust.

M was founded in December 2025 by Biswas and Kartik Mishra, formerly the head of business at Swish. While specific details about the startup’s operations are currently limited, the company is reportedly developing tools to assist individuals in managing their homes through the automation of routine decisions, coordination, and everyday services.

According to M’s LinkedIn page, the company aims to create a new category for consumer interaction with products and services by integrating AI into daily life for urban India. The company’s product offerings are still in development.

Biswas’s new venture follows his brief tenure with e-commerce giant Flipkart, where he led the quick commerce vertical, Minutes, for a period in 2025. He left Flipkart in October 2025 to pursue other opportunities.

During his time at Flipkart Minutes, Biswas focused on scaling the quick commerce business, expanding its presence to multiple cities, and working towards establishing 800 dark stores by the end of 2025.

Biswas departed from Dunzo in January 2025 amidst financial challenges, layoffs, and bankruptcy petitions. Dunzo, which connects consumers with local stores for deliveries, is currently undergoing insolvency proceedings after ceasing operations.
