A major wildfire near the Jaisalmer border in Rajasthan is spreading rapidly due to strong winds. Authorities confirm no casualties despite the intense blaze.

A substantial wildfire has erupted near the Jaisalmer border in Rajasthan, specifically originating in Raimala village. The blaze quickly escalated, spreading rapidly across a significant area, according to reports from PTI. This swift expansion has been primarily attributed to the prevailing strong winds in the region, which are fanning the flames and making control efforts particularly challenging.

Despite the intensity and widespread nature of the fire, authorities have confirmed that no casualties, deaths, or injuries have been reported so far. This remains a critical point as rescue and containment operations continue in the affected areas. The immediate response was triggered by local villagers who alerted the district administration to the burgeoning inferno.

In response to the emergency, the district administration promptly dispatched resources to the site. Fire tenders from Ramgarh were deployed, alongside a dedicated fire brigade team from Jaisalmer, to combat the spreading flames. Additionally, a civil defense team has joined the efforts, actively assisting in various capacities to bring the situation under control.

However, the persistent strong winds are proving to be a formidable obstacle, severely hindering the teams’ ability to contain the fire’s rapid progression. The exact cause behind the outbreak of this massive wildfire near the Jaisalmer border remains unknown as investigations are yet to commence in earnest. Efforts are ongoing to bring the widespread conflagration under control.
