In response to the ongoing situation in West Asia, the government has intensified its efforts to secure fuel and gas supplies, ensuring uninterrupted access for its citizens. These measures aim to stabilize the energy supply chain and provide support to Indian nationals abroad.
As part of these efforts, over 71,000 small LPG cylinders have been sold in a single day, demonstrating the government’s commitment to meeting immediate energy needs. Furthermore, free trade LPG cylinders are being distributed widely to enhance accessibility.
To prevent market manipulation, enforcement against hoarding has been intensified. Additionally, the government has capped commercial LPG allocation to prioritize domestic requirements and essential services, ensuring that critical sectors receive the necessary resources.
These steps reflect a comprehensive strategy to navigate the challenges posed by the West Asia crisis, safeguarding the nation’s energy interests and supporting its citizens during this period.
