Zaggle Stock Plummets Amidst Margin Concerns Despite Surge

Zaggle, the fintech SaaS company, witnessed a sharp decline in its stock value, plunging as much as 19% in intraday trading on the (BSE) to reach a low of ₹230.5. This significant drop occurred after the company announced its financial results for the March quarter, which, while showcasing strong revenue growth, also revealed a sequential dip in profit margins. Investors reacted negatively to the margin compression, overshadowing the positive top-line performance.

Q4 FY26 Financial Performance: Revenue Up, Margins Down Sequentially

In the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2026 (Q4 FY26), Zaggle reported a consolidated net profit increase of 30.4% year-on-year, reaching ₹40.6 Cr, up from ₹31.1 Cr in the same period last year. Sequentially, the profit saw a rise of 9.4% from ₹37.1 Cr in Q3 FY26. However, the company’s revenue from operations demonstrated a more impressive performance, jumping 49.9% year-on-year to ₹617.9 Cr, compared to ₹412.2 Cr in Q4 FY25. Sequentially, revenue grew by 17.6% from ₹525.5 Cr in the previous quarter. Including other income of ₹7.7 Cr, Zaggle’s total income for Q4 FY26 stood at ₹626.3 Cr.

Analysis of Operating Performance and Investor Concerns

The company attributed its robust revenue growth to strong traction across its various revenue streams. On a standalone basis, the Propel platform revenue increased by 46% year-on-year to ₹357.8 Cr in Q4 FY26. Program fee revenue saw a rise of 41.2% to ₹221.8 Cr, and software fee revenue grew by 40.5% year-on-year to ₹13.1 Cr. At the operating level, adjusted surged by 62.4% year-on-year to ₹60.5 Cr. While the adjusted EBITDA margin improved to 9.8% from 9% in the year-ago quarter, it experienced a sequential decline from 9.9% in Q3 FY26. This slight sequential dip in margins, coupled with rising cashback costs, appears to be the primary trigger for investor concern and the subsequent stock sell-off.

Zaggle’s Strategic Expansion and Future Outlook

Over the past year, Zaggle has actively pursued business expansion through strategic acquisitions and new product launches. The company acquired GreenEdge Enterprises and Rivpe Technology, which has been rebranded as Zagg.Money, marking its entry into the retail credit card segment and bolstering its UPI offerings. Furthermore, Zaggle established a unit in GIFT City to enhance its international payments and cross-border financial services business. Looking ahead, Zaggle cofounder and executive chairman Raj P Narayanam expressed optimism about the opportunities within the digital payments and enterprise spend management ecosystem. The company projects standalone revenue growth of 25-30% and consolidated revenue growth of around 40% for FY27.

Analyst View and Market Sentiment

Despite the recent stock performance, financial services firm JM Financial maintained a ‘Buy’ rating on Zaggle with a target price of ₹380. The brokerage noted that the company delivered another strong quarter with sustained momentum across its segments, driven by new client acquisitions and improved per-client monetisation. JM Financial also highlighted the positive aspects of adjusted EBITDA margin expansion, improving operating leverage, and growing traction in key products such as Zoyer, Zatix, and ZIP. However, the market’s immediate reaction underscores the sensitivity of investors to margin trends, even when overall growth remains strong.
