VA Tech Wabag Lands Mega Kuwait Contract
VA Tech Wabag (WABAG) has secured a significant ‘Mega’ Design, Build, Operate (DBO) contract for the Doha SWRO Desalination Plant with Recarbonation System – Stage II in Kuwait.
This order, valued at over $150 million, marks WABAG’s first entry into Kuwait. It further solidifies the company’s leadership and expanding presence across the GCC region.

- Client: Ministry of Electricity, Water & Renewable Energy (MEWRE), Kuwait
- Execution: Unincorporated Joint Venture (JV) led by WABAG, in association with Heavy Engineering Ind.
DMR Engineering Expands into Bhutan
Separately, DMR Engineering has established a new subsidiary, DMR Services, in Thimphu, Bhutan. This move is part of its strategic expansion in the region.
DMR Engineering holds a 70% shareholding in the new company, which will focus on providing engineering and technical consultancy services, aligning with its core business.
