UP Becomes AI Data Hub: Rs 26,910 Cr Investment in Jewar

Uttar Pradesh is set to become a significant hub for artificial intelligence infrastructure, driven by AM Group’s substantial investment in Jewar. The conglomerate plans to develop a 384 MW data center and AI hub with an initial outlay of Rs 26,910 crore.

This ambitious project, situated on 114 acres in Sector 28 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area, is strategically positioned. Its proximity to the Noida International Airport and Yamuna Expressway ensures robust power access and high-capacity connectivity for the National Capital Region’s tech markets.

While the full 1 GW hub is targeted for commissioning by 2030, the first operational capacity is anticipated by 2028. This phased approach underscores a long-term commitment to enhancing the region’s digital backbone.

Sustainable Infrastructure & AI Applications

A crucial aspect of this development is its dedication to sustainable energy. The planned 1 GW AI compute hub will operate on 24/7 carbon-free power, sourced from a combination of wind, solar, and pumped-storage projects, significantly reducing its environmental impact.

The facility is designed to deploy approximately 500,000 advanced high-performance chipsets. These will support a wide array of applications across critical sectors:

The group has articulated a vision for 5 GW of powered AI data-centre capacity across India, the US, and Europe. This indicates a concerted global push in AI infrastructure development.
