The Yash-starrer film, “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups,” faced a notable deceleration in its box office performance on Day 3, securing live collections of Rs 4.92 crore. This dip follows a robust opening for the period gangster drama, bringing its total India net collection to Rs 143.67 crore since its August 26, 2026 premiere.
Despite the overall slowdown, the film’s India gross collection stands at Rs 171.66 crore. The third day’s performance indicates a significant shift from its initial momentum, raising questions about its sustained theatrical run.
Day 3 Collections by Language
On its third day, the Hindi version of “Toxic” registered a net collection of Rs 3.13 crore, with 14.0% occupancy across 7,136 shows. This segment contributed the largest share to the daily earnings.
The Kannada version added Rs 1.14 crore, maintaining a 24.0% occupancy from 687 shows. Meanwhile, the Tamil version collected Rs 20 lakh from 822 shows, achieving 13.0% occupancy.
Rounding out the regional performance, the Telugu version garnered Rs 45 lakh across 914 shows, recording an 18.0% occupancy. These figures highlight varied regional engagement as the film progresses.
Early Box Office Trajectory
The film had initially debuted with an impressive Rs 101.1 crore net collection in India on Day 1, boasting a 56.1% occupancy across 24,579 shows. This strong opening set high expectations for its subsequent days.
However, Day 2 saw a sharp decline, with collections falling to Rs 37.65 crore net. Occupancy also reduced significantly to 26.6% from 22,629 shows, establishing a clear downward trend before the Day 3 figures.
