Indian QSR brand Third Wave Coffee secures ₹408 crore ($43M) led by WestBridge Capital for aggressive nationwide expansion, aiming for 320 cafés by FYE.

Third Wave Coffee, the Indian QSR brand, just raised ₹408 crore ($43 million) in a new funding round.

Existing investor WestBridge Capital led the investment, with Creagis and angel investors also participating.

Third Wave Coffee plans to strengthen its presence in current markets and enter new high-potential cities, including Guwahati, Ranchi, Patna, and Bhubaneswar.

Strategic Growth Initiatives

  • Accelerate growth of Third Rush Desserts, introduced earlier this year.
  • Diversify food and beverage portfolio with non-coffee drinks and all-day menus.
  • Expand breakfast, savory, and occasion-specific product lines.

Over the past year, the brand expanded to Ahmedabad, Mangalore, and Agra, while also reinforcing its presence in Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, and Pune.

In June 2026, Third Wave Coffee entered East India with three cafés in Kolkata, aiming for 320 cafés by the fiscal year-end.

Rajat Luthra, CEO of Third Wave Coffee, stated the company aims to enter eight new geographies next month, focusing on sustainable growth.

Sandeep Singhal, Co-founder at WestBridge Capital, noted coffee’s increasing significance and praised Third Wave Coffee’s market position due to quality and execution.
