Bengaluru brothers innovate developer collaboration with Tangled, a social coding platform. LEAD Group introduces Ms. Curie, an AI tutor for personalized learning.

Akshay and Anirudh Oppiliappan, based in Bengaluru, are developing Tangled, a platform designed to enhance how developers collaborate on code, incorporating generative AI-based autonomous agents. Anirudh, CEO of Tangled, stated that the platform represents their vision for the future of social coding. Tangled has attracted over 8,000 users and nearly 6,000 repositories organically.

Tangled aims to refine the code collaboration system, distinguishing itself from GitHub, which was established in 2008 and acquired by Microsoft a decade later.

In related news, LEAD Group has launched Ms. Curie, an AI-driven tutor intended to serve as a learning companion for students. The initial program, Fluento, seeks to improve conversational confidence through AI-led spoken English training.

This initiative follows LEAD’s 2024 introduction of TECHBOOKS, integrating physical textbooks with augmented reality features to customize learning. The broader edtech sector in India is also moving toward personalized tools, with companies like PhysicsWallah offering AI Guru for doubt resolution and ALLEN launching Allie as a 24/7 study aid. Fluento is specifically designed for the Indian market, where English fluency is often linked to career opportunities and higher salaries.
