Sportstech startup SportVot has announced the successful closure of a funding round, raising ₹32.7 crore (approximately $3.8 million). The round was led by IAN Fund and saw participation from investors including Anicut Capital, Lets Venture, Capital A, and Succeed Innovation.
The newly acquired capital will be strategically deployed to fuel SportVot’s international expansion and bolster its AI-driven production and analytics infrastructure. A portion of the funds will also support the scaling of its white-label OTT solutions for sports bodies and leagues, both within India and across global markets.
Founded in 2019 by Siddhant Agarwal, Shubhangi Gupta, and Yash Bhagwatkar, SportVot specializes in bringing professional-style broadcasting to grassroots and local sports events. The platform offers a comprehensive suite of AI-powered production, data, and streaming solutions that cover the entire broadcast process.
Utilizing smartphones and cameras, SportVot enables event organizers to live stream matches with advanced features such as TV-style graphics, instant replays, multilingual commentary, and automated highlight generation. Additionally, the platform assists in managing fixtures, scores, and player profiles, thereby aiding scouts and fans in discovering emerging talent.
SportVot’s coverage spans a variety of sports, including cricket, football, kabaddi, basketball, badminton, and volleyball. The platform also provides revenue opportunities for local leagues through in-stream advertisements and pay-per-view options.
According to the company, SportVot has streamed over 500,000 matches in more than 30 countries, reaching an audience exceeding 100 million viewers. Co-founder and CEO Siddhant Agarwal stated, “We plan to use these funds to scale our offerings in international markets, with some initial success coming our way in Australia & Africa. The plan is to get into European, West Asian, and American markets. Our vision is to democratize access to technology and video creation for the 99% of sports tournaments & leagues that go unnoticed.”
SportVot operates in a competitive landscape, with rivals such as CricHeroes, FanCode, and Stupa Sports Analytics. The investment arrives at a time of significant growth and disruption in India’s sports tech market, which is projected to reach $3.5 billion by 2027, fueled by over 1,800 startups in areas like smart venues, fan engagement, and AI-driven personalization.
