SoftBank Vision Fund II executed a significant block deal on the BSE on Monday, August 24, 2026, divesting a 2.6% stake in Lenskart Solutions. The transaction involved selling 4.5 crore shares, valued at ₹2,887.9 crore.

  • The shares were sold at an average price of ₹641.75 each.
  • Societe Generale ODI notably acquired 1.07 crore shares, amounting to ₹688.92 crore.
  • The floor price for the transaction was set at ₹635 per share, a 4% discount from Lenskart’s previous closing price of ₹661.40.

This divestment by SoftBank Vision Fund II Lightbulb Cayman follows reports of its intention to offload up to 2.6% of the eyewear retailer. The selling entity now faces a 45-day lock-up period on its remaining holdings.

As of the June quarter, SVF II Lightbulb Cayman held a 9.86% stake in Lenskart. Promoter entities maintained an 18% share, while public shareholders held 82% of the company’s equity.

Lenskart’s Robust Financial Performance

The block deal occurs amidst Lenskart’s strong financial showing in the June quarter. The company recorded substantial growth across key metrics.

  • Revenue increased by 43.3% year-on-year to ₹2,714.18 crore, up from ₹1,894.46 crore in the prior year.
  • Profit after tax nearly quadrupled to ₹228.43 crore, significantly higher than ₹61.17 crore in the corresponding period.
  • EBITDA surged by 75.1% to ₹588.48 crore.
  • EBITDA margin expanded from 17.7% to 21.7%.
  • Lenskart’s shares had also surpassed the ₹600 mark for the first time earlier in August.

This strategic stake sale by SoftBank comes as Lenskart continues its trajectory of impressive financial and market performance.
