Global investment firm Siguler Guff & Company has announced the final close of its Global Emerging Markets Growth Opportunities (GEMGO) Fund, securing $500 million in capital commitments. This substantial fund is earmarked specifically for India’s high-growth, mid-market businesses.

Expanding India Portfolio
To date, Siguler Guff has invested approximately $1 billion in India across its various emerging markets vehicles, backing 23 companies. Notable past investments include Indian Energy Exchange, GlobalLogic, City Union Bank, and Sterling Hospitals.
The latest fund has already initiated capital deployment with several recent investments. These include Trimex Foods, an operator in the food service sector; Rajasthan Royals, an IPL cricket team; Valliance.ai, an AI-native consulting firm; and La Renon, a domestic formulations player.
These strategic investments underscore the fund’s commitment to partnering with founder- and promoter-owned businesses that serve both India’s domestic economy and global markets, driving institutional capabilities and long-term scaling.
