Shiprocket, the e-commerce enablement platform, secured ₹727.41 crore from anchor investors. This move precedes its Initial Public Offering (IPO), scheduled to launch on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Anchor Investment Details

The company allocated 7.5 crore equity shares to these investors. Each share was priced at ₹97, hitting the upper limit of its IPO band.

Key investors included the New York State Teachers Retirement System, Nomura Funds Ireland Public Ltd Company, and Societe Generale. Major Indian entities like ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company and SBI Mutual Fund also participated.

IPO Structure & Goals

Shiprocket aims to raise a total of ₹1,617 crore through the IPO. This includes a fresh issue of equity shares and an Offer For Sale (OFS) by existing shareholders.

The fresh issue targets up to ₹9.13 crore. The OFS involves up to 7.55 crore equity shares from shareholders such as Lightrock and Tribe Capital.

The price band for the IPO is fixed between ₹92 and ₹97 per equity share. Retail investors can apply for a minimum lot size of 154 shares.

Funding Utilization & Market Position

Funds from the fresh issue will bolster marketing initiatives and technology infrastructure. The company also plans to repay existing borrowings and potentially fund future acquisitions.

Shiprocket operates as a merchant-centric, API-driven technology platform for MSMEs and large retailers in India. A Redseer Report identified Shiprocket as the largest new-age, end-to-end horizontal e-commerce enablement platform in India by revenue from operations in fiscal 2026.

Its business segments include Core Business (domestic shipping) and Emerging Business (cargo, cross-border shipping, capital solutions). The IPO proceeds will fuel its continued expansion across these areas.
