Saatvik Solar inks MoU with Odisha govt for a 3.6 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Gopalpur, boosting renewable energy production and creating jobs.
Saatvik Solar Industries, a material subsidiary of Saatvik Green Energy, has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha (IPICOL), Government of Odisha.
This agreement outlines plans for establishing a 3.6 GW Solar Cell Manufacturing Facility at Gopalpur, located within Odisha’s Ganjam district.
Strategic Expansion in Odisha
The proposed facility represents a pivotal move in Saatvik Solar’s strategy to significantly expand its manufacturing capabilities within the state of Odisha.
This project is designed to contribute substantively to the region’s renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem while simultaneously creating new employment opportunities.

Ongoing Development at Gopalpur

Phase I has met key construction and installation milestones, now moving steadily towards its commissioning phase.
Tool installation is advancing effectively, with ramp-up operations poised to commence shortly, marking a crucial step towards full operational readiness for the company, which primarily manufactures Solar Photovoltaic Modules and offers Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services.
