The Ram Temple Trust in Ayodhya has reported a substantial corpus of ₹1,876.30 crore by the close of financial year 2025-26, according to its financial statement dated March 31, 2026. This significant amount is held across three bank accounts and various mutual fund investments.

This financial milestone reflects diverse income streams, including online, offline, and foreign donations, alongside interest earned from deposits and investments.

Tracking Donation Inflows

The temple’s donation boxes, known as ‘daan patra’, alone garnered ₹66.55 crore between March 31, 2025, and April 1, 2026. This translates to an average daily collection of ₹18.30 lakh from these physical contributions.

The growth also builds upon past fundraising efforts, demonstrating sustained financial support for the temple’s operations and development.

Accounting for Past Contributions

A mass donation drive conducted in 2021, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir Nirman Nidhi Sarman Abhiyan, successfully collected ₹3,264 crore. Auditors have confirmed that all these funds were accounted for.

Of the amount collected in 2021, ₹2,370 crore has already been utilized, primarily directed towards the temple’s ongoing construction.

Ongoing Theft Investigation

An active investigation into a temple donation theft case has led to the recovery of ₹78.94 lakh by police. Six individuals have been arrested in connection with this incident.

A volunteer associated with the temple noted that the total collection from donation boxes for the year was ₹66.55 crore, indicating the stolen amount would be a portion of this larger sum.
