Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh strongly advocated for the transformation of India’s defence sector into a self-reliant ecosystem. Highlighting the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Singh stressed that the country must reduce its reliance on foreign imports by indigenously manufacturing everything from advanced microchips to large-scale naval ships.

He underscored that achieving self-sufficiency in defence production is not only a matter of economic growth but a critical necessity for ensuring national security and strategic autonomy. The minister encouraged collaboration between the government, private industry, and research institutions to foster innovation and enhance the capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces.
