Quant Mutual Fund Revises Risk Bands for 3 Strategies
By Business Desk
Quant Mutual Fund adjusts risk profiles for three strategies, including Equity Ex-Top 100 Long-Short, effective July 31, 2026, in line with SEBI circular.
Quant Mutual Fund has announced a revision to the risk bands for three of its investment strategies, effective **July 31, 2026**. This move comes through a notice-cum-addendum to its Investment Strategy Information Document (ISID) and Key Information Memorandum (KIM).
Understanding the Risk Band Revisions
Quant Mutual Fund issued a notice-cum-addendum for strategies offered by qsif, bringing them into compliance with the SEBI Master Circular for Mutual Funds. This circular was issued on **March 20, 2026**, setting the regulatory context for the changes.
The **qsif Equity Ex-Top 100 Long-Short Fund** has seen its risk band reduced. It moved downwards from risk level 4 to **risk level 3**.
Similarly, two other strategies, the **qsif Active Asset Allocator Long-Short Fund** and the **qsif Sector Rotation Long-Short Fund**, also experienced reductions. Their risk bands were lowered from risk level 3 to **risk level 2**.
Mechanism Behind the Adjustment
These adjustments to the risk bands are rooted in a thorough evaluation of each Investment Strategy’s monthly portfolio risk level. This assessment was conducted as of **July 31, 2026**, which is also the effective date for these new risk classifications.
The fund house confirmed that all other details, terms, and conditions previously outlined in the ISID and KIM for these investment strategies remain unchanged. This Notice-cum-Addendum is now considered an integral component of the existing official documentation.
