The Rs 22,562 crore initial public offering of the National Stock Exchange of India reached full subscription by 3 pm on the second day of bidding on September 18. Investors submitted bids for 8.90 crore shares against the 8.86 crore shares available.

Subscription Breakdown and Segment Demand

Demand was primarily fueled by Qualified Institutional Buyers and Non-Institutional Investors, with their respective quotas subscribed 1.32 times and 1.38 times. The employee portion saw interest at 1.36 times, while the retail segment reached 66% subscription following a first-day overall subscription of 42%.

Issue Structure and Anchor Investor Details

The offering consists entirely of an offer for sale with no fresh issue and features a price band of Rs 1,700 to Rs 1,785 per share. Grey market data as of September 18 indicates a potential listing gain of approximately 8% with an estimated listing price of Rs 1,927. Prior to the public offering, the exchange successfully raised Rs 6,746.18 crore from anchor investors including over 150 domestic and foreign institutional participants.
