Nippon Life India Asset Management reports a strong Q1 FY27 with a 27% profit surge to Rs 503.7 crore and Assets Under Management reaching Rs 8.62 trillion.

Nippon Life India Asset Management (NAM India) recorded a significant financial performance in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, with consolidated net profit climbing by 27% year-on-year. The company posted a net profit of Rs 503.7 crore for the period.

Revenue from operations also saw a robust increase, rising by 26% to reach Rs 766.9 crore. This growth occurred despite a notable increase in operating expenditure during the quarter.

Operating expenditure for NAM India increased by 19% in Q1 FY27. This rise was attributed primarily to higher employee expenses, other expenses, and increased fees and commissions.

Asset Growth & Market Share

The company’s closing Assets Under Management (AUM) reached Rs 8.62 trillion as of June 30, 2026, representing a 16% year-on-year increase. Nippon India Mutual Funds (NIMFs) also contributed to this growth.

  • Nippon India Mutual Funds (NIMFs) Quarterly Average AUM (QAAUM): Rs 7.52 trillion, up 23% YoY.
  • Quarterly systematic flows: Rs 110.3 billion, an increase of 13% YoY.
  • Nippon India AIF total commitment: Rs 95.8 billion, growing 18% YoY.

Sundeep Sikka, MD & CEO of NAM India, highlighted the company’s strong growth and confirmed that it achieved the highest market share increase in the industry for the quarter. Despite these positive financial results, the company’s scrip experienced a 3.45% fall on the BSE following the announcement.
