  • Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC): The Government of India will utilize the oversubscription option for an additional 4% stake, equivalent to 50.59 crore equity shares, via an ‘Offer-for-Sale’ on August 5. This is supplementary to the initial base issue size of 31.62 crore equity shares, representing a 2.5% stake.

One 97 Communications, operating as Paytm, saw substantial share divestments by key investors, with a collective sale exceeding 2,000 crore rupees.

  • One 97 Communications (Paytm): Elevation Capital V, SAIF III Mauritius Company, and SAIF Partners India IV collectively sold 1.49 crore shares. The transaction was valued at Rs 2,038.02 crore, with notable buyers including National Pension System (NPS) Trust, Axis Mutual Fund, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs.

Meesho also experienced a significant equity stake divestment by its early backers to a diverse group of investors.

  • Meesho: Elevation Capital and Peak XV Partners Investments divested their 2.27% equity stake to 27 investors for approximately Rs 1,949 crore. Shares were transacted at Rs 186 each, with buyers including Societe Generale, Axis Mutual Fund, Fidelity, and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA).

The deal was valued at Rs 222.96 crore, with shares transacted at Rs 473.5 per share. Sudeep Pharma witnessed a notable acquisition by a Goldman Sachs fund from Nuwama.

  • Sudeep Pharma: Goldman Sachs Funds-Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio acquired 11.76 lakh shares, equating to a 1.04% stake. The transaction from Nuwama was valued at Rs 100 crore, involving Nuva Crossover Opportunities Fund – Series III and Series II.
