Fintech firm Navi has secured $100 million in its inaugural institutional funding round from Prosus. This investment precedes the company’s anticipated initial public offering, with the transaction awaiting regulatory green light from authorities including the Competition Commission of India.

Prosus cited Navi’s extensive user base and diverse business lines as key attractors. The investor also noted Navi’s technology-centric approach and its focus on customer experience. These factors underscore the company’s strong performance, even amidst a challenging economic environment.

Founded by Flipkart co-founder Sachin Bansal, Navi offers a suite of financial services. Its product portfolio includes lending, insurance, mutual funds, and UPI payments. The company recently launched a motor insurance offering.

Navi’s valuation is reportedly around $1.3 billion. For its upcoming IPO, the company had previously sought a $2 billion valuation.

Operational Overview and Financials

Leadership changes took place in February 2025, when Sachin Bansal transitioned to Executive Chairman. The company’s potential IPO continues to target a $2 billion valuation.

Navi’s lending business experienced a brief disruption in FY25 due to RBI compliance issues, which were subsequently resolved. Despite this, Navi UPI maintained its position as India’s fourth-largest UPI app. Navi Finserv’s assets under management (AUM) also surpassed Rs 13,000 crore.

For FY26, Navi reported a net loss of Rs 466 crore. However, revenue from operations increased by 16%, reaching Rs 2,982 crore. The company achieved consolidated profitability in Q4 FY26.
