Muthoot Fincorp Ltd has filed draft papers with Sebi for an Initial Public Offering, targeting to raise Rs 3,000 crore. This fresh issue of equity shares aims to bolster the company’s Tier-I capital base and support future growth, including onward lending.
As a diversified Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), Muthoot Fincorp’s flagship business is gold loans. Its portfolio also includes business loans, loans against property, and microfinance, built on over two decades of experience in the gold loan sector.
Operational Scale
- Assets Under Management (AUM) reached Rs 73,444.72 crore as of March 31, 2026.
- The company operates through an extensive network of 5,610 branches across India.
- Its digital platform, Muthoot FinCorp ONE, serves 4.26 million users.
- Crisil reported that Muthoot Fincorp’s gold loan AUM recorded a 59.04% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) between March 2024 and March 2026. This positioned it as the fastest-growing among its peers.
Financial Performance
- Consolidated profit significantly increased to Rs 1,847.62 crore in FY26, up from Rs 607.90 crore in the previous fiscal year.
- Consolidated revenue from operations also saw a rise, reaching Rs 11,203.81 crore in FY26 compared to Rs 8,497.69 crore in FY25.
Kotak Mahindra Capital Company, Morgan Stanley India Company, JM Financial, and SBI Capital Markets are designated as the book-running lead managers for this upcoming issue.
