Mpower launches ‘Coffee & Conversations’ with in good co cafe in Delhi, making mental health discussions accessible in everyday, informal settings.

Forget formal therapy rooms; now, your coffee breaks might just become the new hub for crucial mental health chats, thanks to a fresh initiative in Delhi.

Mpower’s Mpowered Voices, an initiative by the Aditya Birla Education Trust, has launched ‘Coffee & Conversations’ at the in good co cafe in GK2, Delhi. This program is designed to shift mental health discussions from traditional, formal settings into more casual, everyday environments.

Making Mental Health Part of Daily Life

The core idea behind this move is that sharing personal stories can significantly change how mental health is viewed. Amit Gupta, CFO of Mpower, highlighted that persistent stigma remains a major barrier to seeking support.

He explained that sharing real experiences helps individuals realise they are not alone. This approach challenges assumptions about mental well-being, making seeking help feel more accessible and less daunting. By integrating these discussions into a relaxed cafe space, Mpower aims to make mental health a natural part of daily conversations, moving beyond crisis-only talks.

Coffee as a Catalyst for Connection

Udai Pinnali, CEO of Aditya Birla New Age Hospitality, emphasised that in good co, a modern Indian cafe, is a hub for young India. For him, coffee serves as a catalyst for connection and culture, aligning with their brand’s vision for a progressive India.

He stated that normalizing mental health conversations and facilitating access to help are integral. The partnership provides an inclusive space where young people can engage in meaningful discussions that might otherwise be difficult to initiate, starting with a simple cup of coffee.

Mpower, recognised as one of South Asia’s largest private mental health initiatives, focuses on literacy, capacity building, and community outreach. Their Mpowered Voices platform specifically encourages sharing personal mental health journeys to foster empathy and reduce stigma.

Ultimately, this collaboration demonstrates that meaningful conversations about emotional well-being can easily begin with something as simple as a cup of coffee in good company.
