LVX Unveils Elvix AI Platform for Private Markets
Bengaluru-based venture capital firm LVX, formerly known as LetsVenture, has launched Elvix, an artificial intelligence-powered intelligence platform. This new offering aims to significantly simplify deal evaluation and decision-making processes for investors operating within private markets, marking a strategic enhancement in the firm’s technological capabilities.
Elvix leverages a decade’s worth of proprietary data, having been trained on over 4.5 Lakh documents. This extensive dataset includes startup pitch decks, investment committee memos, term sheets, shareholder agreements, post-investment portfolio reports, and investor Q&A records, providing a robust foundation for its analytical capabilities.
Advanced Deal Analysis and Market Insights
The platform is engineered to analyze investment opportunities across more than 320 distinct data points before human review. LVX asserts that Elvix can automatically generate comprehensive investment memos, facilitate company comparisons with peers, and assess the potential impact of macroeconomic developments on portfolio performance. It also claims to identify prospective exit opportunities for investors, offering a holistic view of potential returns.
LVX founder and CEO Shanti Mohan highlighted the platform’s accessibility, stating, “ChatGPT made AI accessible to consumers. We want to do something similar for private market investing by building a specialised language model for the asset class.” This underscores the firm’s ambition to democratize sophisticated investment intelligence.
Strategic Positioning and Market Expansion
Elvix is being positioned as a research and intelligence tool tailored for high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), who can access it through a monthly subscription model. In contrast, institutional investors, including other VC firms and family offices, are granted complimentary access to the platform. Currently, Elvix is available free of charge to all users, potentially to encourage broader adoption.
The underlying technology of Elvix combines proprietary AI models with a vector database and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) architecture. This advanced setup allows LVX to target India’s burgeoning HNI base, which currently exceeds 8 Lakh individuals, tapping into a significant market for its new service.
LVX’s Evolving Investment Strategy
This development aligns with LVX’s broader strategic shift to expand its focus beyond early-stage startup investing. Last year, LetsVenture rebranded to LVX as part of its initiative to penetrate the growth-stage investment segment, indicating a more comprehensive approach to private market participation.
Founded in 2013 by Shanti Mohan and Sanjay Jha, LVX operates as a full-stack marketplace facilitating angel investments in startups. The firm boasts a distinguished list of key backers, including Accel, Chiratae Ventures, Ratan Tata, Mohandas Pai, and Anupam Mittal, reinforcing its credibility in the investment ecosystem.
LVX has built a substantial portfolio, claiming to have onboarded over 900 portfolio companies and attracted more than 14,000 investors to its platform. Its notable portfolio companies include StockGro, GIVA, LeverageEdu, Fasal, Yulu, and FarMart, showcasing its diverse investment footprint across various sectors.
