Juniper Green Energy’s initial public offering (IPO) received bids for 2.12 crore shares against 5.60 crore shares offered on its opening day, July 30. This translated to an overall subscription rate of 0.38 times by the end of Day 1.
The IPO will remain open for subscription until August 3, with the company offering shares in a price band of ₹214-225 per equity share.

- Overall subscription: 0.38 times
- Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) portion: 1.05 times subscribed
- Employee portion: fully subscribed
- Retail investor portion: 0.13 times subscribed
- Non-institutional investor (NII) category: 0.05 times booked
The ₹1,800-crore IPO consists entirely of a fresh issue of equity shares, with no offer-for-sale component. At the upper end of the price band, Juniper Green Energy is expected to achieve a post-listing market capitalisation of around ₹12,802.46 crore.
IPO Proceeds & Listing Schedule
- ₹683.24 crore from net proceeds for repayment or prepayment of borrowings.
- ₹728.69 crore to be infused into subsidiaries.
- Remaining proceeds for general corporate purposes.
- Grey market premium (GMP) currently stands at ₹9 per share, indicating a potential 4% premium.
ICICI Securities, HSBC Securities and Capital Markets (India), JM Financial, and Kotak Mahindra Capital Company are managing the IPO. KFin Technologies serves as the registrar.
The basis of allotment is expected to be finalised on Tuesday, August 4. Refunds and demat account credits are slated for Wednesday, August 5, with the stock listing on the BSE and NSE on Thursday, August 6.
