This intimate moment was followed by a larger farewell celebration that attracted approximately 1,500 people, despite being held in a space designed for only 300 attendees.

On his second-to-last day, Dean engaged in a yoga session and played a soccer game, reflecting his known athletic pursuits. He then spent his ultimate hours at Google responding to hundreds of “incredibly touching” internal messages, continuing until 2:30 a.m. and resuming the next morning.

Final Hours and New Beginnings

Dean officially became “unemployed” at 11:59:59 p.m. on his last day with the company. A mere minute later, he transitioned into his new role as a co-founder of Discovery Loop, signaling a swift pivot into the burgeoning AI startup space.
