India’s iSON Group has pledged a significant US$300 million investment in the Philippines, focusing on telecommunications infrastructure, digital healthcare, and business process outsourcing (BPO). The Philippine Department of Finance, through Secretary Frederick D. Go, confirmed active discussions and government support for this expansion.

Investment Breakdown and Deployment

The substantial US$300 million commitment is diversified across various crucial sectors including telecommunications, clean energy, agriculture, and BPO. Approximately 22% of this total investment has already been deployed by the group. This initial allocation supports foundational projects within the Philippines.

  • US$65 million (₱3.9 billion) utilized by iSON Tower, a subsidiary, for 450 telecommunications towers.
  • Plan to erect over 3,000 towers nationwide, at a rate of 300 to 400 annually.
  • US$50 million allocated for a modern farming initiative.
  • US$200 million designated for an agro-solar project, targeting a 400-megawatt capacity, in partnership with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority.
  • A 40-megawatt solar installation is slated for New Clark City in Tarlac.

Strategic Expansion into Key Industries
