Indo-MIM Ltd secures ₹1,141 crore from 92 anchor investors ahead of its ₹3,812 crore IPO launch on July 23. Key funds participated.

Indo-MIM Ltd secured ₹1,141 crore from 92 anchor investors before its ₹3,812 crore Initial Public Offering (IPO) opened for public subscription on July 23. The precision engineering components maker priced its shares between ₹461 and ₹485 per share.

The public issue is scheduled to close on July 27, allowing investors to bid for a minimum of 30 equity shares. The company allotted 2.35 crore equity shares to anchor investors at the upper price band of ₹485 apiece.

Anchor Investor Details

  • ₹1,141 crore: Amount raised from anchor investors.
  • 92: Total number of anchor investors.
  • 55.98%: Portion of the anchor book allocated to domestic mutual funds, totaling 1.32 crore shares across 60 schemes.
  • 9.64%: Portion of anchor allocation received by life insurance companies, amounting to 22.69 lakh shares.

Key participants in the anchor book included ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, SBI Mutual Fund, Kotak Mutual Fund, and BlackRock Global Funds. These investors are a mix of domestic and global entities.

IPO Structure and Proceeds

The IPO comprises a fresh issue of equity shares worth up to ₹500 crore and an Offer For Sale (OFS) of approximately 6.83 crore equity shares. Existing shareholders like Green Meadows Investments Ltd, Anuradha Koduri, and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras are selling shares.

Indo-MIM plans to allocate ₹400 crore from the fresh issue proceeds towards pre-payment or repayment of outstanding borrowings. The remaining funds will be utilized for general corporate purposes.

Company Profile and Market Position

Incorporated in 1996, Bengaluru-headquartered Indo-MIM specializes in precision engineering components using Metal Injection Molding (MIM) technology. It holds the position as the world’s largest manufacturer in this sector.

According to a Frost & Sullivan report, the company maintained a 6.8% global market share by revenue in calendar year 2025 for MIM technology. Indo-MIM operates 15 manufacturing facilities globally, including six in India, six in the US, two in the UK, and one in Mexico.

For the fiscal year 2026, Indo-MIM reported revenue from operations of ₹4,193 crore and a profit after tax of ₹533 crore. The IPO reserves 50% of the net offer for Qualified Institutional Buyers, 15% for non-institutional investors, and 35% for retail investors.
