Indian startups raised $82.2 million across 17 deals between July 27 and August 1, 2026. This figure represents a 50% drop from the $164 million recorded in the previous week.
The funding landscape included 2 growth-stage deals, 13 early-stage deals, and 2 undisclosed transactions. Beyond capital raises, the week also saw 8 key hirings, 4 fund launches, 1 merger and acquisition, and 1 ESOP buyback.

Growth-stage funding saw Apna Mart secure approximately $12.7 million (Rs 120 crore) in a Series C round, co-led by Accel India and Fundamentum. Hyderabad-based Sid’s Farm followed with about $8.4 million (Rs 81 crore) in a pre-Series B round.
Early-stage investments were led by Arboreal Bioinnovations, which raised over $24 million (Rs 230 crore) in a Series A round. Aham Housing Finance also secured Rs 100 crore, while Omega Seiki Mobility received Rs 50 crore among other early-stage recipients.
Geographic and Sectoral Focus
Bengaluru dominated deal activity with 7 transactions, followed by Delhi-NCR with 5. Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai also recorded investment activity across various sectors.
Fintech, edtech, and e-commerce each saw two deals. Foodtech, FMCG, dairy tech, EV, Proptech, and AI sectors also attracted investor interest during this period.

The week also featured significant movements in leadership and venture capital. Nandita Sinha was named CEO of Instamart, and Ankit Jain took the lead at Nykaa Now.
Four new funds were announced, including Cactus Partners targeting Rs 1,600 crore for its second fund and Inflexor Ventures closing its third fund at Rs 400 crore. In M&A, D2C fashion brand Snitch acquired women’s fashion label Berrylush, while healthtech startup Temple initiated its first ESOP liquidity program after doubling its valuation to $375 million through a secondary share sale.
