The US Senate recently voted to approve a bill targeting key buyers of Russian petroleum products, including India and China, alleging that such trade fuels the Ukraine war.
Key provisions of this bill include:
- It allows US President Donald Trump to impose 100 percent tariffs.
- These tariffs would apply to goods from countries identified as the top five importers of Russian oil and gas.
