India’s PE/VC investments surged to $4.1 billion in July 2026, a 3% YoY increase, driven by larger deal sizes and strong investor confidence.
India’s private equity and venture capital scene witnessed a significant uptick in July 2026, with investments soaring to $4.1 billion. This marks a notable 3% year-on-year increase, demonstrating robust investor confidence.
July 2026 Investment Snapshot
- Total PE/VC Investments: $4.1 billion
- Year-on-Year Growth: 3% (compared to July 2025)
- Monthly Growth: 52% (from $2.7 billion in June 2026)
- Total Deals: 111 (down from 119 in July 2025)
The increase in overall investment value, despite fewer deals, points to higher ticket sizes. This trend aligns with India’s strong macroeconomic fundamentals, as noted by Vivek Soni, a partner at EY.
Soni anticipates further acceleration in deal-making, supported by significant “dry powder” held by PE/VC funds. This outlook hinges on the stabilization of geopolitical conditions.
A report by EY and IVCA highlighted that ten large deals were pivotal in July, contributing a substantial portion to the total activity.
