Major Infrastructure & Digital Deals for Indian Firms

NHPC, Power Grid Corporation of India, and KS Smart Technologies have secured major infrastructure and digital projects across India. These wins signal significant advancements in the country’s power generation, inter-state transmission, and rural digital access initiatives.

NHPC Drives Hydropower in Arunachal Pradesh

NHPC has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Government of Arunachal Pradesh for the 3097 MW Etalin Hydro Electric Project (HEP). This run-of-the-river scheme will be developed on the Dri & Tangon rivers in the Dibang Basin. NHPC will undertake investigations, financing, development, commissioning, and operation on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis.

Power Grid Expands Inter-State Transmission

Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID) has emerged as the successful bidder for the ‘WR-ER Inter-Regional Network Expansion Scheme Part-A’.

• This project is also on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.
• It involves establishing two new 765/400kV substations in Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.
• The scheme also includes extending existing substations in Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra.

KS Smart Technologies Boosts Digital Literacy in Uttar Pradesh

KS Smart Technologies’ wholly-owned subsidiary, KS Smart Solutions, has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from U.P. Development Systems Corporation (UPDESCO).

• The contract is for a large-scale Digital Libraries Infrastructure Project.
• It is valued at ₹111.35 crore.
• The project aims to establish digitally connected library facilities across various Gram Panchayats in Uttar Pradesh.
• Scope includes design, deployment, installation, commissioning, networking, and operationalization of integrated digital library infrastructure.

This initiative will significantly enhance digital access and technology-enabled learning in rural areas.
