Shifting Market Dynamics
Merchant bankers have observed an improved market sentiment, encouraging companies that previously deferred listings to re-enter. Bhavesh Shah, MD & Head-Investment Banking at Equirus Capital, noted stabilizing markets and enhanced investor confidence are driving these plans.
India’s primary market has already recorded 36 IPOs in 2026, with nine launched this month. More listings, including Manipal Health Enterprises and Juniper Green Energy, are scheduled for late July.
Investment bankers maintain an optimistic long-term outlook for India’s IPO ecosystem. Shah anticipates India will raise approximately USD 20 billion through IPOs this calendar year, highlighting investor preference for well-priced offerings.
